Los Angeles, CA (March 25, 2022) – A worker lost his life at the Purple Line Extension project site in Los Angeles. The accident happened on March 23, according to reports.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the scene just before 5:00 p.m. for reports of a man who was struck by a train. Upon arrival, they found the male victim had been hit by the train that was used to move equipment at the construction site. The site was located on Wilshire Boulevard near La Brea Avenue.
The victim was pronounced deceased on-site by paramedics. The Medical Examiner in Los Angeles stated that he was in his 30s. His name has not been released at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
