Los Angeles, CA (March 7, 2022) – An auto accident reported in the Los Angeles area claimed one man’s life on Saturday morning, March 5. Preliminary reports provided by the Los Angeles Police Department show that 22-year-old Mario Ramos Morales was utilizing an electric scooter while traveling eastbound on Olympic Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m.
For unknown reasons, a northbound Dodge Caravan struck Morales as he passed through the intersection of Western Avenue. The impact of the crash caused Morales to be ejected from his scooter. After landing on the southbound side of the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle. Morales was dragged approximately 60-feet south on the road before coming to rest in front of a bus stop.
The man sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene of the incident to render aid to the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The police department is currently conducting investigations into the accident.
