West Covina, CA (June 5, 2022) – A man lost his life and at least one other was hurt in a car wreck involving multiple vehicles on Saturday in West Covina. The incident was reported to responders in the area at around 4:26 a.m.
Emergency personnel was sent to the Barranca Street off-ramp of the westbound San Bernardino Freeway. There, they found several vehicles blocking multiple lanes, according to information provided by the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses stated that a body was seen in the fourth lane of the freeway, which was debris-strewn from the collision. At this time, it is known that one person lost their life in the wreck and another was injured.
The victims have not currently been identified. Authorities in West Covina continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
