Torrance, CA (May 12, 2022) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on the Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance on the early morning of Monday, May 9. The incident was reported just before 1:45 a.m.
According to information from officials, it happened on the PCH near Calle Mayor. The pedestrian lost their life at the scene, reports said. Their identity has not been released at this time as police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
Both sides of the PCH were closed around 5:00 a.m. while responders were still on-site. Morning commuters were asked to avoid the area while the scene was active.
