Santa Fe Springs, CA (June 22, 2022) – A car crash in Santa Fe Springs took one life on Wednesday, June 22. Just before 2:00 a.m., the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway.
Officials in Santa Fe Springs report that the accident took place near Carmentia Road. One of the vehicles flipped onto its roof during the collision, and at least one involved vehicle was a semi-truck.
A man in his 40s was ejected from his vehicle as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased on-site, according to reports.
All lanes of the freeway were closed while the CHP and other responders worked in the area. Police continue to investigate the details of the accident.
