Los Angeles, CA – Two Killed in Auto Collision on 91 Fwy near Acacia Ave
Los Angeles, CA (May 5, 2022) – At approximately 12:37 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, a fatal traffic crash happened in Los Angeles. Police say that two victims were killed after the accident occurred on the 91 Freeway.
Police received a call concerning a crash in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway west of Acacia Avenue. Reports indicate that a Honda hit the left side of a Toyota 4 Runner, pushing the Toyota onto the right shoulder where it collided with a pole.
Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced two people deceased at the crash scene. The driver of the Toyota, a man from Huntington Beach, age 24, and his passenger, a woman from El Monte, age 18, were identified as those who lost their lives in the crash.
The driver of the Honda left the scene without waiting for authorities to arrive. Police officials in Los Angeles continue to investigate.
