Long Beach, CA (May 6, 2022) – One driver lost their life after a fatal accident pushed their car off a bridge into a flood control. Information provided by the Long Beach Police Department states that the wreck happened at around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3.
The accident occurred on Willow Street near Coyote Creek, according to reports. Two vehicles collided in the area, forcing one of them off of the bridge into the flood control below.
Orange County Fire Authority transported both drivers to a local hospital for treatment. The driver who landed in the flood control lost their life a short time later.
The involved drivers have not been identified at this time. Authorities in Long Beach continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
