California Car Accidents
Every year, millions of auto collisions take place in the United States. Approximately 3 million individuals sustain serious injuries in these accidents each year. Car wrecks are one of the top causes of serious injuries and death in the United States. They are also one of the most prevalent causes of death among US citizens traveling abroad or residing outside of the country.
In California, there are more car crashes than in any other state. Approximately 400,000 vehicle wrecks happen in the Golden State per year, and these accidents cause injuries to over 150,000 individuals annually. On average, over 1,000 vehicle crashes take place in California each day.
Negligent drivers cause the majority of these accidents. Driver intoxication, distraction, and speeding are three leading types of driver negligence. Roughly 4 out of 5 auto crashes happen due to driver negligence in the United States.
When you lose someone you love in a car crash caused by driver negligence, it may feel like your life has come to a complete halt. It can feel hard to move on or even function. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. Especially if you lost your loved one to driver negligence, you may be feeling angry or frustrated.
Negligent drivers usually cause accidents that are more severe and deadly than other types of wrecks. Driving while distracted or fatigued is comparable to driving while intoxicated, which is the most dangerous and deadly form of driver negligence. Despite the type of negligence displayed, drivers who choose to act reckless, careless, or otherwise negligent while behind the wheel put everyone they encounter at serious risk.
