Traffic Collisions in California
Over 150,000 people sustain injuries in car crashes throughout the Golden State each year. Thousands of injured people are not inside of vehicles at the time of their accidents. Instead, pedestrians are walking on sidewalks and alongside roadways throughout California.
Due to these accidents, tens of thousands of people are sent to area medical centers with injuries. They receive emergency medical treatment for their injuries and are often forced to stay in the hospital for a lengthy period to recover. Being unable to work can be stressful, especially when the bills are piling up.
Pedestrians are at high risk for severe injuries if they become involved in a traffic crash. Pedestrian accidents are more likely to leave victims with debilitating injuries such as broken bones, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. All of these usually require extensive and expensive medical treatment. Often, driver negligence, such as intoxication, speeding, and fatigue, causes car accidents. When victims are injured in accidents due to negligent drivers, they should consult with a pedestrian accident attorney in Griffith Park as soon as possible.
