Gardena, CA (March 13, 2022) – A woman was killed after she was struck by a car Saturday, March 12 in Gardena. Reports reveal the wreck occurred at the intersection of Vermont and Marines Avenues.
Responders were sent to the scene, near the southwest corner of Rosecrans Park, at around 6:00 p.m. A female pedestrian was attempting to cross Vermont when a southbound Toyota Prius struck her.
Emergency responders rushed the woman to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her identity has not been reported at this time.
Police in Gardena continue their investigation into the circumstances of the wreck. Traffic was delayed in the vicinity of the crash scene for some time.
