California Truck Accidents
It can be terrifying to be involved in a traffic collision with a commercial truck due to the sheer size and weight of these vehicles. Semis are approximately 20 times heavier than your average passenger car. Oftentimes, those who are hurt in crashes with semi-trucks are more severely injured than those who are hurt in accidents involving smaller vehicles.
Over 2,900 people sustain injuries throughout California each year due to truck accidents. Commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, approximately 20 or 30 times larger than the average passenger vehicle. This means that they can cause debilitating and even fatal injuries to victims involved in accidents. Especially when victims are riding in smaller passenger vehicles.
The emotional, physical and financial strain put on the victims of commercial truck accidents can be overwhelming and frustrating. Victims are often faced with stacking medical bills, lost wages, and expensive vehicle repairs or even replacements. Injured accident victims should always reach out to truck accident lawyers in California when they believe that another driver caused their wreck. Attorneys may be able to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
