California Auto Wrecks
Auto collisions happen all the time in California. Usually, a car wreck is reported in the Golden State once every three minutes. This is equal to about 20 collisions per hour. These wrecks can happen for multiple reasons. The current leading cause of car crashes in California is distracted driving. When a driver’s eyes are diverted from the road and his surroundings, everyone he passes on the roadway is put in danger.
Around 3,000 people lose their lives per year in the United States due to distracted driving. Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that there were 3,142 fatalities caused by distracted drivers in 2019.
Those who become seriously injured in car wrecks usually have to stay in the hospital for prolonged periods where they undergo invasive medical procedures like surgeries. If you or someone you love has been hurt in a wreck caused by driver negligence, speaking with a personal injury attorney is in your best interest. A lawyer will help you learn more about your legal right toward financial compensation if a negligent driver caused your injuries.
It is not fair that an innocent driver who sustains injuries due to a negligent driver’s actions must pay for the costs associated with those injuries. The law in the Golden State says that those who are injured by negligent drivers have the right to pursue financial compensation to help them recover after their accidents.
