California Car Wrecks
Car accidents in California happen constantly. On average, a car wreck is reported in the Golden State once every three minutes. This indicates that about 20 accidents occur per hour. There are numerous reasons these collisions occur. Currently, the leading cause of auto accidents in California is distracted driving. When a driver is distracted, his eyes are not on the roadway, and his hands may not even be on the steering wheel. This makes for extremely dangerous and sometimes deadly circumstances for everyone he encounters on the roadway.
Distracted driving takes the lives of approximately 3,000 people per year in the United States. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 3,142 deaths related to driver distraction in 2019.
Injuries sustained in these types of accidents are often severe and require lengthy stays in the hospital. If you or a member of your family has been hurt in a car crash caused by a distracted, intoxicated, or otherwise negligent driver, you should speak with a personal injury lawyer. An attorney can inform you of your right toward financial compensation in the event that a negligent driver caused your injuries.
If you’ve been hurt by a negligent driver, it may seem unjust for you to have to pay for the costs associated with your injuries, and, by law, it is. The law in California states that anyone who has been harmed by another driver’s negligence is eligible to collect financial compensation to help pay for the costs associated with their crash/injuries. A car crash lawyer in Chino Hills can help you recover financially after you have been hurt in a wreck.
