California Pedestrian Wrecks
Many people sustain injuries in car wrecks in California every year. Pedestrians are often severely hurt when involved in collisions due to having no protection. Due to the year-round pleasant weather in California, pedestrians are everywhere, making the pedestrian-involved crash rate higher than in almost any other state.
Pedestrians usually sustain broken bones, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other catastrophic injuries when involved in traffic accidents. Injured pedestrians often need immediate and extensive medical care to recover completely. They usually have to spend days or even weeks in the hospital, and sometimes they must undergo surgeries and other invasive medical procedures. Being stuck in the hospital can mean lost wages and stacking medical bills. This can all be stressful and overwhelming for injured pedestrians. Luckily, they may have legal options to help them recover.
Usually, traffic collisions happen due to driver negligence. Some examples of driver negligence include intoxication, texting, driving, ignoring traffic rules/regulations, speeding, and distracted driving.
