California Car Crashes

Bell Gardens, CA - Three Ejected from Car in Auto Accident on Long Beach Fwy near Florence AveThere are more car crashes in California, the largest state in the nation, than any other state. More than 400,000 auto accidents occur in the Golden State every year that injure over 150,000 individuals annually. These collisions happen for a multitude of reasons, however, right now, the main cause of accidents throughout the United States is driver negligence.

Driver negligence, unfortunately, comes in many forms. Distraction, fatigue, and intoxication are three leading types of driver negligence that cause hundreds of thousands of accidents per year in the US. In fact, millions of people suffer serious injuries every single year in the United States because of negligent drivers. Over 40,000 people are killed per year in the  United States due to car accidents, and the majority of those deaths are the result of negligent drivers.

More than 90% of the vehicle collisions reported in California and throughout the United States happen due to driver negligence. For some reason, people think it is ok to take their eyes from the roadway for a brief period of time while they’re driving. However, this is not the case. It is extremely dangerous to take your eyes from the roadway for even a second if you’re behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. You owe a duty of care to everyone on the road to stay safe and pay attention.
