California Car Wrecks
Approximately 6 million car accidents happen throughout the United States every year. Of those accidents, nearly 3 million people suffer serious injuries. Car wrecks are a leading cause of injury and death in the United States. They are also a leading cause of unnatural death for US citizens residing abroad or traveling outside the country, according to information provided by the CDC.
More car accidents happen in California than in any other state in the nation. The Golden State sees approximately 400,000 auto collisions per year that injure over 150,000 and take the lives of around 3,000 individuals. On average, California sees more than 1,000 auto wrecks per day.
Alarmingly, most of these crashes are the result of driver negligence. Things like intoxication, speeding, and distraction, are all different and dangerous forms of driver negligence. Recent statistics gathered concerning the cause of car accidents in the United States found that more than 94% of motor vehicle accidents are caused by the negligent actions of drivers.
